Abstract EN
The present study aimed to identify the extent to which the faculty members at Rahma College, Al-Balqa Applied University possess educational technology competencies from the students' viewpoints.
The study also sought to clarify the differences in the degree to which the faculty members possess educational technology competencies which might be attributed to the demographic variables (gender, major and grade).
The study population consisted of all the undergraduate students at Princess Rahma University College, Al-Balqa Applied University totaling (700) students divided into four departments.
A stratified random sample was drawn according to the percentage of students in each department so that the final sample consisted of (300) students.
Added to that, the study made use of the social survey method.
The results of the study showed that the faculty members at Rahma College at Al-Balqa University have a high level of applied educational technology competencies from the students' viewpoints.
The field of educational design came first in terms of the total degree, followed by teaching methods and then the use of educational technologies.
The results of the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the sex or the grade.
However, the results showed that there are statistically significant differences due to the specialization, and the differences were in favor of the Social Service and Delinquency and Crime majors.
The study recommended the need for paying the due attention to training the faculty members at universities on technological competencies.
