Abstract EN

This research discussed by studying and analyzing the Qur’anic verses what are called by the commentators as the rhetoric terminology " Affirmation things by their opposites" and related definitions such as confirmation praise and slander by their opposites.

The researcher wanted to accomplishment these objectives: First: Limitation the places of Quran where usage this rhetoric method.

Second: Study these methods and identification their conformation to the speech of the predecessor commentators and the investigators, and its effect on interpretation.

Third: Indication the concerned interpretation of this rhetoric method The researcher concluded the following outcomes: 1- The impact of the he science of rhetoric in explanation the Holy Qur’an and facing its problems and the commentators ’reliance on it, including the method of confirmation of their opposites in meanings.

2- The most explicit interpretations in this manner: Ibn Ashour and Al- Alousi with footnotes on Al-Kashaf and Al-Baidawy: such as Al-Tibi, Al- Shehab Al-Khafaji, Sheikh Zadeh, and Al-Qunawi, and referred to him as known poetic witness without the statement Al-Zamakhshari, Al-Baidawi, Al-Razi and others.

3- I studied in the research forty-four verses of the Qur’an, through the research it, show that a number of Qur’anic examples do not enter into praise and slander in a manner similar to opposite them, however they are from affirming a thing in a manner similar to it: so the related examples to affirming something by their opposites: sixteen verses, praise In a manner similar to slander: eight verses, and slandering in a manner similar to praise: nineteen verses of the Qur’an, while it is not correct to application the method to two Qur’anic verses.

4- As well as, and through the research, there were four of the applied examples in this rhetorical method did not include an exception or a remedy, and this rhetorical method has been correctly applied to it, and this refers that this restriction is predominant and not constant, in contrary to those whose definition which is limited to exclusion and comprehension.
