Abstract EN

The present paper deals with the jurisprudential & legal adaptation of kinship and its impact on kin's testimony: a comparative study with Yemeni law.

It first introduces kinship in linguistic, Jurisprudential, and legal terms.

Thereafter, the term “impact” is defined linguistically and Jurisprudentially; so is “testimony” according to the sharia as well as Yemeni law.

It also explains the types of kinship and the scholars' views over it.

The impact of kinship on the kin's testimony for each other due to lineage, marital, in-law, and breastfeeding reasons is tackled from Islamic Sharia and Yemeni legislation.

The study depends on the analytical approach by collecting the scholars' views on the kin's testimony and then discussing the view of each particular group.

In addition, it extrapolates the provisions related to kin's testimony in Yemeni law and its legitimacy.

The conclusion of the study includes the findings, suggestions, and recommendations.
