Abstract EN

The present study aimed to evaluate the reality of the use of teaching aids in the works of art education from the point of view of teachers trained in public schools in the city of Al-Ahsa.

The population of the study and the sample of all male and female teachers trained in primary schools were (54) teachers in the second semester (2018-2019).

They were chosen by the intentional method because of their presence in these schools.

The study used the measure of the degree of use of teaching aids, which is a questionnaire designed by the researchers and contained (20) paragraphs represented the tools and means of education that were in two areas: interactive means and sensory means.

In addition, the averages, standard deviations and t-test statistics were used as methods to achieve the objectives of the study.

The study showed the following results: - The degree of use of male and female trainees teachers tools and means of education in art education is high in the field of sensory and interactive means in general.

- There is a decrease in the level of using male and female student-teachers for some tools and means of education in art education such as traditional projectors, caricatures, and educational materials.

- The results showed that there are statistically significant differences at (0.05 > α) in the degree of use of tools and means by teachers trained in favor of female teachers, for several reasons, including: that females tend to details and attention to part and all as a single educational process, while males pay attention to all without details, in addition to the lack of awareness of the importance of these methods in the educational process by males, and not trained during the study in the university or in-service education to manufacture or use some tools and means in classroom situations.

The study recommended several recommendations, including: Training courses for male and female teachers during in-service education to keep abreast of the new teaching aids and to continue what they learned during university study in the field of the manufacture and use of teaching tools and means.

The study also recommended the necessity of teachers' visits to other institutions such as special training centers and development and quality assurance centers for their importance for teachers to gain experience.
