This study is entitled: Maqameyan in the balance, which is in the balance between modern maqamat: Nassif al-Yazji and Muhammad al-Muwailhi; the study included: the meaning and origin of the maqamat, then the definition of each writer, and then a critical balance between the two writers, in which I presented: the life of each writer and its impact on his purpose in his maqamat, and his style and originality and tradition in each work, and refuting some critical opinions about the usefulness and status of each work.
