Abstract EN

Quality assurance represents the last stage in the quality literature developmental stages.

The ultimate purpose of this process is to protect institutions from encountering risky situations and to avoid wrong doings.

At the same time, it reinforces the promotion of those institutions through strategic planning and sustainable improvement plans.

The current study considered the vital mechanisms of quality assurance in higher education institutions in the three countries and the beginnings of quality assurance authorities in these countries.

This study also touched upon some new mechanisms of quality assurance that come to appearance as a result of contemporary international variables like the trend of some countries that try to establish a number of international highly ranked universities, added to internationalization of higher education as new mechanisms to assure the quality of higher education institutions.
