Haydar Haydar is one of the Syrian contemporary writers.

Alzman AlMaohesh's story is in fact the writer's concerns that are presented in the form of a novel.

In his novel Al Zaman alMaohesh, he examines the values and customs of the society, and speaks of disconnect from past traditions and converting to culture, civilization, and western progress.

The present article tries to investigate the element of personality and characterization in this novel using a descriptive-analytical method.
