This article is mainly based on a historical narration about the person of al-Qa`qa ibn Amr which was received through only one narrator, and then it was transmitted by both history and hadith books.

This character differed between companionship and followership, with a third saying that went to the ence of it.

Therefore, the article came to study this problem.
