The Endowment so called El Wakf has always been and still is considered to be a part of the Algerian national heritage.

For this important reason, the Department of religious affairs and endowments of Biskra has made a great effort in recovering, assessing and settling the legal status of these property endowments(El wakf)- that number into 303 units in 2018- from all sorts of Real Estates housing units.

These properties are spread across various municipalities throughout Biskra region.

Despite many difficulties, the department of religious affairs and endowments has managed to take successful measures in setting up investment projects for these endowments that were done in accordance to the priorities of the state in order to provide employments and create plenty of jobs.
