Primary education is the main pillar of the other educational stages, hence the importance of the topic to demonstrate the efficiency of primary education in the Middle Euphrates governorates compared to planning standards, and the number of primary schools in the 2018-2019 academic year reached (3687) schools, the number of students (1455568) pupils and the Number of members of the teaching staff (68089) showed an increase in the standard of a pupil / school in the governorates of Karbala, Babil and Najaf and its decline in the governorates of Diwaniyah and Muthanna.

As for the standard of student / teacher, it reached (21) in the governorates of the Middle Euphrates, and the governorates of Babel, Muthanna, Najaf and Karbala were higher than the standard and Diwaniyah governorate recorded (18) Pupil / teacher, as for the school’s service of the population, it has reached (1909) people / school, and there are more than one school in one building, which requires the construction of a number of school buildings to cope with the increase in population.
