The participatory budget is a mechanism that can enable citizens to participate directly in decision-making regarding the allocation of a portion of resources for local investment in order to meet a set of needs and aspirations that they wish .

Through this research, we have tried to understand how to reconcile the development goals of local leaders with the aspirations of citizens through the participatory budge.

We concluded that it strives to realize the principles of local governance, build trust between citizens and local authorities, and lead to economic efficiency by streamlining decisions and prioritizing needs, and stimulates citizens to fulfill their tax duties, which will increase its revenues, thereby increasing its funding capacity and expanding the scope of development projects in quantity and quality.
