therefore, many contemporary searchers realized the importance of studying the title, many researches and studies concerned in titles and their analyzes on the structural, semantic and pragmatic levels have been developed.

this critical study tackles the subject of the title in terms of history and terminology, and then analyzes the semiotic titles in the novels of Mouloud Feraoun : the poor son, the earth and the blood, the paths that go up, to reach the relationship that binds the symbolism of titles to their narrative content.
