Many women worldwide suffer from the phenomenon of violence regardless of thereasons behind its escalation in many quarters, especially the family environment.

Despite the attempts made by the international community and human rights organizations within the framework of their efforts to reduce the size of this phenomenon, by taking care of the severity of criminal policy and tightening the penalties to combat the phenomenon of marital violence in all its forms, especially economic ones.

This is the same course as the Algerian project in an attempt to reflect this endeavor, starting with its emphasis on protecting the family in the constitution, and such amendments that have touched the ordinary laws in the manner of family laws and the penalties in the evidence of the provisions that he has given to this subject, which will enhance the protection of the wife.

However, it remains necessary to call for a concerted effort by civil society to raise awareness of the seriousness of the phenomenon.

In particular, the spread of economic spousal violence in Muslim societies is accompanied by the wife's inability to report it judicially for many reasons that prevent it.
