The book includes biographies of one hundred seventy three distinguished figures from Malaga and Andalusia.

The book is regarded as one of the masterpieces in terms of the selection of poems and prose.

The research investigated the reason behind writing the book, time and place of writing it, in addition to scrutinizing, with an eye of critic, the introduction, chapters and the conclusion of the book.
