The main objective of this paper is to describe and analyse some aspects of the Algerian economy from 2014 to 2020.
We have taken on consideration the sharp decreasing of oil prices since the second half of 2014, the deep political change since February 2019, and COVID 19 pandemic.
To achieve this objective, we have used mainly IMF country reports.
Based on these reports, we have found that the Algerian economic situation is strongly linked to oil prices, which confirms that the Algerian economy is deeply affected by the “Dutch disease” phenomenon.
On the other hand, and based on those reports, we suggest that some important measures have to be taken to help overtake this phenomenon's negative effects, and deals with this permanent cyclic situation that characterizes the Algerian economy.

L'objectif de cet article est de décrire et d'analyser certains aspects de l'économie algérienne entre 2014 et 2020.
Nous prenons en considération la baisse importante des prix du pétrole depuis le second semestre de 2014, le profond changement politique depuis 2019 et la pandémie de COVID 19.
Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous utilisons principalement les rapports pays du FMI.
Par conséquent, nous avons constaté que la situation monétaire et économique algérienne est fortement liée aux prix des hydrocarbures.
Ce phénomène de «syndrome hollandais» semble affecter profondément l'économie algérienne Nous recommandons quelques réformes qui peuvent atténuer ces effets négatifs et à résoudre ce problème cyclique perpétuel qui caractérise l’économie algérienne.
