Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the war theorizing of Al-Hassan Ibn Abdullah Al-Abbassi through his book “The Effects of the First in the Management of States”, by formulating a new reading of his contributions from the perspective of the field of strategic studies.

It also aims to try at reviving the contribution of Arab and Islamic military thought with is lacking in the strategic thought compared with the contribution of western military thought, and this calls for the recommendation to realize hundreds of Arab and Islamic military manuscripts in the archives of world museums and libraries, in front of Arab neglect and modest studies which few of them were made by some Orientalists.

The neglect of the contributions of the Arab and Islamic military thought is prejudice in a field in which arabs have progressed distinctively, and made bids that raise eyebrows and astonishment.

Al-Hassan Al-Abbasi is considered as one of the intellectuals Arabs who laid the foundations of thought strategic and principles, as it is in the Early in the history of this thought, warned of the danger of sectarian differences over the state’s defensive immunity, and discussed the war’s ethics before the Hague and the Geneva treaties devoted to the principles of international humanitarian law, and realized the rules of combat preparation, the conditions of military leadership, the logistical strategy, and the strategy of examining the geography of the battle site preceding Clausewitz and Jomini by five centuries ago.
