Abstract EN

This study aims at clarify the status of Arab women From the pre-Islamic era to the modern era, in an attempt to prove the status that the Arab woman enjoyed in her home, her society and on the literary scene, for the purpose of refuting the allegations that say Arab woman did not gain a clear and high position only in the modern era through the reform movement in Arab societies in its modern era.

In this study, the researcher relies on a set of sources and references to study the status of women throughout the literary eras.

The study is organized into two chapters and investigations related to each chapter.The importance of this study stems from revealing the high status of the Arab woman in the past, which from the critic's point of view say that the Arab woman is affected by her Western view and influenced by it - have tried to overlook and neglect her.
