Abstract EN

This study dealt with the psychological connotations of the Pendants of al-Harith bin Halza and the manifestations of the moral values that characterize the pre-Islamic community, as this commentary was considered an example for studying the aspect of pre-Islamic morality and its origins which were represented in reason, courage, justice and chastity.

The study followed the descriptive inductive method, relying on the material of its study on the commentaries of the suspended, and the sayings of critics, past and present, from the findings of the study: The pendant in all its verses is a field for studying the ethics of ignorance, and that Al-Harith has mastered the description and expression in high eloquence, and rare eloquence And that the pendant is a document that dated the days of the Arabs, and it is an example of what was happening among the tribes of arrogance and boasting in which the poet used argument, logic and cunning in presenting his position and opinions.

The study recommends dealing with the pendent from its linguistic and stylistic aspects.
