Deviation is considered the most common stylistic phenomenon particularly in poetic creativity.

This is due to the effects produced by the divergence from poetic text's stereotyped linear method.

These encompass both surmounting the impediments of ordinary discourse and revealing the esthetics of the text and its artistic tools, which quench the readers' thirst.

Figurative deviation (metaphor) and syntactic deviation (deletion, fronting and postponement) constitute the most important manifestations of this esthetic secret in mouhammed saleh Baouia's poem “Al insane Al kabir”.

To what extend is this stylistic phenomenon effective in revealing the esthetics of Algerian poetic texts? And was the poet operationally successful in employing such tools? The present paper attempts to provide answers to these questions.
