Algeria is among the many States in the Arab region that have a severe scarcity of water resources.

The situation has deteriorated further as a result of the years of drought that the country has been experiencing for years, as well as the increase.

These reasons have led the Algerian State, particularly in the past two decades, to take action and programs that have had an Positive impact on raising water resource ratios and volume to achieve water security.

In this study, we will try to identify the realities and challenges that Algeria faces in achieving its water security.

What institutional mechanisms has been put in place by the Algerian legislature for the conservation of water resources.
