According to Anthony Giddens we live in a world where risk aversion is absent, or what postmodernists call the chaotic world, which represents the absence of stable lifestyles and the absence of standards of guiding behavior, which poses a moral crisis that must be met with confidence building.

so this study aimes to give a sociological reading of the Anthony Giddens approach to the ethics crisis and confidence-building points in contemporary societies.

the study concluded that Anthony Giddens theory of ethics and confidence building in contemporary societies is based on his vision of a social structure in support of ethics and confidence building, starting from the role of government, the media, global civil society organizations as well as experts, in doubt, while highlighting the complementary relationship between structure and action, and its bias towards the social actor.
