محددات عمالة الأطفال في الجزائر : دراسة كمية تحليلية

Abstract EN

This study aims to diagnose the reality of child labor in the Algerian society and identify the most important factors that lead to it, by using the data of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey MICS-3 Algeria 2006, using that descriptive approach and the analytical approach in building a logistic regression model.

The results indicated that this phenomenon is more prevalent among males and in rural areas.

It is also relatively higher among non-schooled children from poor families.

The results of the logistic regression model showed the statistical significance of variables such as "vicinity of residence, the child's age and gender, and mother's level of education" in determining the probability of the child going to work in the Algerian society.
