Abstract EN

Our study aims at knowing the contribution of the agricultural sector in realizing the local development in Algeria with reference the province of Guelma.

As well as treating the policeis and plans adopted by the Algerien state to devlop the agricultural sector.

The most important results of our research are as follows: - The agricultural sector contributes to the increase of the gross domestic product, in addition to its contribution to local development; - Agriculture is a major source of food and raw materials.

- One of the livelihoods and employment opportunities, especially in rural
