Interfaith dialogue (IRD) is considered a sacred religious practice among adherents of religions and has become increasingly present in interventions to address conflict resulting from exposure to religious diversity.

However, some experimental efforts have tested the efficacy and outcomes of IRD.

The rooted theoretical approach is well suited to describe the precise role of religion in inter-group processes in major theoretical frameworks.

The IRD experiences were explored and analyzed through useful case descriptions and religious style scores.

Interfaith dialogue (IRD) is also used to promote peace, reconciliation and social cohesion.
