Abstract EN

The research included a brief summary of the religious reform movement in England and the era of tolerance in it, Where England in the sixteenth century, and during the reigns of Kings Henry VIII and Edward VI, witnessed a movement of religious reform, and the official religion in it changed from the Catholic doctrine to the Protestant doctrine.

The reforms were accompanied by many measures as cancelling the catholic ceremonies , imprisoning and exiling the clergy outside England, as well as the execution of the extremists among them, the change of the most prominent teachings of the Catholic doctrine in the churches, and issuing a new book in which the Protestant doctrine, became the main doctrine of England.

Research is the era of religious tolerance at the beginning of the reign of Queen Mary and the most important steps that she followed in implementing her policy, as it was expected, due to her Catholic faith, that her reign would begin with the persecution and suppression of the Protestants, but she showed otherwise, and she followed the policy of religious tolerance, which was represented in the return of the Pope as head of the English Church and excusing the Protestants And preserving their previous positions, in exchange for their abandonment and conversion from the Protestant doctrine to be Catholic in addition, allowed the adherents of the Protestantism to leave England with their possessions, and set up a program to educate the Catholic to make them able to work to and facing the Protestants to restore the Catholicism to England instead of pursuing the policy of repression to achieve that.
