Title of the Study: Developing the performance of student affairs departments in career guidance and counseling in the Saudi universities in light of the experiences of some countries (proposed strategy).

This research aimed at identifying the reality of the performance of student affairs departments in vocational guidance and counseling in Saudi universities in terms of the availability of their services and their effectiveness, and the difficulties they face, in addition to identifying the experiences of some Arab and foreign universities in the field of vocational guidance and counseling, provided to students of higher education in them, with Proposing a strategy to develop student affairs departments in Saudi universities in career guidance and counseling.

The study used the content analysis method, which aims to objectively, systematically and quantitatively describe the apparent content from the study of this topic.

Among the most important results of this study are the multiplicity of job titles in Saudi university departments that supervise the services of career guidance and counseling, with deficiencies in these services, in addition to the multiplicity of academic disciplines responsible for career guidance and counseling services in Saudi government universities, in addition to the low level of expertise Employees, their skills and knowledge who work in the field of career guidance and counseling services, with the scarcity of holding workshops and interactive professional meetings throughout the academic year in Saudi government universities.

The research proposed a strategy to develop the performance of student affairs departments in the field of career guidance and guidance in Saudi universities in the light of the experiences of some Arab and foreign countries, in addition to the analytical results of this research.
