Abstract EN

This study was titled (The Impact of the winds on the variability of air pollution ratios in Baqubah City) the City of Baqubah one of the Districts of Governorate of Diyala, bounded by the North Governorate of Sulaymaniyah, the South Governorate of Baghdad, the East District of Baladruze, and from the West Baghdad and Salahuddin and it is part of the sedimentary plain.

It is characterized by a semi-arid climate.

The problem of the study is the existence of a large industrial area located west of Baqubah City on the old road of Baghdad.

The causes of pollution in the city of Baqubah are due to the presence of many industrial workshops, brick factories, bakeries and restaurants, and combustion causes air pollution in the city.

The absence of proper treatment unit has affected human health within this city.

The winds in the area of study are the North-West winds in the summer, and in the winter, we observe a clear change in the direction and speed of the winds.

The area of study stations may vary in the prevailing wind type, at Khalis station is a North-West wind, while at Khanaqen station it is a Western wind.

As for wind speed, in summer it is more stable, while in winter it is more variable in speed.

The stations of the area of study may vary in the speed of general winds, with the highest speed at the station of Khalis 2.5 m/s, and reached its lowest speed at Khanaqen station, it was 1.4 m/s
