This study aims to achieve the following objectives: To determine the characteristics of women beneficiaries of the services of NGOs, to identify the services provided by NGOs to achieve women's empowerment to reduce the environmental and psychological pressures they face, and to identify the differences between women's environmental pressures To identify the differences between the characteristics of women in both rural and urban areas and to identify the differences between the role of NGOs and the empowerment of women to reduce the environmental and psychological pressures in both rural and urban areas.

The study relied on both theory of role and pressure as a theoretical guide, The study is based on a comprehensive survey of the members of the board of directors of the NGOs in the study community and the sample social survey of women benefiting from the services of the NGOs in the study society.

There are also statistically significant differences between the characteristics of women in both rural and urban areas, which were represented in the social situation and the type of housing at a significant level of 0.01 The study recommends the importance of developing small projects for women to achieve their empowerment in society.
