Banu Jamii belongs to the Hilalians.
They established an emirate in the city of Gabes, which lasted about sixty-five years.
They had a geopolitical role in the interconnected relations between the cities of North Africa at that time, as well as a relation with the Norman Kingdom of Sicily.
Banu Jamii shares in the North African trade.
They benefited from trade routes near their city of Gabes, and they had an attempt to participate in the Mediterranean trade.
