Abstract EN
This research studies and analyzes a corroborative evidence of Tarjeeh (weighing and comparing evidence in order to determine which is more credible) in the view of mufassireen, which is “Tarjeeh by means of Israa’eeliyyaat”.
It aims at setting the principles and bases of such doing.
The methodological approach taken is the inductive deductive approach, in which scholars’ views on proving points and making use of Israa’eeliyyaat in Tafseer and Tarjeeh are sought The research reached a number of conclusions, of which the most significant are: Israeli report, in fact, is “a narration which we don’t know whether true or false”, and it is most likely to be remnants of prophets’ words and what has been revealed to them.
In this regard, such report is like da’eef (weak) hadith which can’t be taken as proof, yet it can serve as corroborative evidence used in Tarjeeh some views.
