Abstract EN

This study seeks to address the controversy over the thoughts brought up by the two economists John Maynard Keynes and Frederick Hayek in the light of the new matters that have occurred to the international economy due to the Corona pandemic, and the change in the perception of the mechanisms that govern the economy such as the free-market, the invisible hand and the laissez-faire.

In order to address this problem, we adopted the historical approach to list the most important historical milestones that generate this controversy and comparative descriptive approach to compare the thoughts of the two theories supporters.

This research reached a set of results, the most important one is that Corona crisis was attributed to the existence of the Keynesian principles to the detriment of Hayekian ideology through the nonlaissez-faire in order to alleviate the severity of the crisis.
