The provision of food and the stability of its supply are among the main elements to achieve food security, as the Arab world suffers from many imbalances in the production of food commodities, and faces several challenges that must be overcome in order to reduce the food gap and raise productivity in the deficit groups, especially grains.

Therefore, an emergency program for food security was set up.

Al-Arabi, who encountered the emerging coronavirus pandemic, which required further measures to overcome the crisis and reduce its negative effects on food security, especially the lack of production and supply of food from abroad due to border closure policies.
