Abstract EN

During the 20th century, comparative studies have started a new era.

This has allowed a kind of revival in orienting comparative literature toward other new research fields with the growth of the interaction between different cultures and the various types of literature, along with the end of the cultural closure.

Many different fields of knowledge supported comparative literature during the last quarter of the 20th century.

These are reflected through cultural research and human sciences especially sociology.

In fact, this openness at the level of texts occurred and allowed us to hear things such as sociology of literature as the result of the relationship between sociology and literature, which has resulted in a new methodology.

The latter is a combination of two complementary phenomena.

The first concerns the linguistic nature of the text whereas the second deals with its social one.

This is what P.

Zima calls socio-textual method, which is considered as the new tools in comparative literature.
