This paper deals with the idea of art in the philosophy of Merleau-Ponty (1908-1961).

His point of view shows that art issue is related to the perception without going beyond in its cognitive, aesthetical levels.

Morever, this art helps us to understand this world as well as to engage with it.

According to him, our body is not only a potential object of study for science, but it is also a permanent condition of experience, a constituent of the perceptual openness to the world.

It is difficult to compare the body to a material thing but we can compare it to an artistic work.
