Abstract EN

The study topic deals with the determinants of youth's reluctance to participate in voting in the 2020 House of Representatives elections and their relationship to their hypothetical political participation levels on social networks.

The study also relies on the media survey method, this approach has been employed in the field section, by scanning a sample of (400) individual members of the social media audience to identify the impact of social networks on reluctance to participate in the elections.

the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are:
The House of Representatives elections for the year 2020 AD is the third legislative elections after the 2011 elections and the 2015 elections.

The decline in voting rates and the high rate of political ention compared to the 2012 People's Assembly elections, where the participation rate reached (60% ), as the total number of participants reached 27 million and 851 thousand and 70 voters out of 50 million, while the participation rate decreased in The Senate elections for the year 2020 A.

The increase in the rate of null votes in the 2015 elections to the House of Representatives, to (8.7% ) and the 2018 presidential elections to (7% ).
