Silent sounds are the basic building block from which the words of the language are formed, and the consonant sounds share in that.

The difference of these silent sounds affects the difference in meaning, and this difference may even reach the point of contradiction, which is what our ancient scholars stated, such as Ibn Faris and Al-Suyuti.

Al-Suyuti says: “And among the Sunnahs of the Aris the difference between two opposites with a letter or a vowel, as they say: He heals from a disease, and he cures from medicine, and he is relieved if he who disobeys him, and he is relieved if he is harmed by a guard, and a curse if he curses more, and curses and sarcasm if he curses and mockery.

”
