Abstract EN

The Academic Social are the most recent means used by researchers to communicate with others, Researchgate is increasingly used by scholars to upload the full-texts of their articles and make them freely available for everyone, and this study aims to measure the use of Academic social networks, (Researchgate) by researchers at Al-Azhar university and the extent of the researchers' interaction with it, To achieve the objectives of the study analytical survey methodolog and use of content analysis, The study found several findings, The college of Medicine occupied the largest percentage amonng other scientific colleges in terms of the number of colleges and their departments with 31 departments with ascore of 1153 members, The highest participating department in Researchgate are department of Chemistry and Physics, Faculty of Science, and the least participating Sectors are the Humanities, Islamic and Arabic Studies, the study provided a number of recommendations: work should be carried out to enhance the levels of awareness of Academic Social networks among the faculty members at Al-Azhar University through seminars, training courses, and marketing these via e-mails and workshops.

The study also recommends encouraging the faculty members to join of Academic Social networks share their published papers and collaborate with other researchers.
