Abstract EN
This study aimed to uncover the effect of immersion curricula in foreign languages on the level of linguistic competence of the Arabic language for international school students: In order to achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher prepared a measure of linguistic competence that was applied to the study group, then statistical analysis and interpretation of the results and making recommendations and suggestions.
The results showed: a decrease in the level of language proficiency as a whole, and the effect of language immersion curricula was greatest on the efficiency of speaking and vocal performance.
It is the most form of language loss for international school students and this appears in limiting the speaker's ability to produce his language, and in light of the findings of the study.
The following recommendations were suggested: The necessity of delaying studies in the foreign language until the child has mastered his primary language.
