Abstract EN

This study monitors, analyzes and interprets everyday resistance tactics in the West Bank’s Jordan Valley and their impact on the Israeli colonial project.

The first section draws the theoretical framework behind the concept of everyday resistance, and provides a contextual reading of possible repercussions and tactics.

The following sections discuss Israeli policy in the Jordan Valley since June 1967 and the everyday resistance tactics against Israeli policy.

Finally, the paper assesses the impact of everyday resistance to Israeli colonialism.

It argues that in the absence of organized resistance from a party, organization, institution, or official political body, everyday resistance becomes the main unit of political analysis.

These tactics equip the Palestinian with the means to remain and Sumud (steadfastness) in their land, protecting the lifestyle they cherish.

Methodically, this study relies on relevant literature and observational field work in the Jordan Valley, in addition to several field interviews with farmers, livestock herders, local council members and youth activists from the Jordan Valley.
