Abstract EN

The research aimed at investigating The Effectiveness of a proposed program in geographic information systems to develop the skills of processing satellite Images and geographic curiosity among students of the Faculty of Education.

Both the descriptive approach and the experimental approach based on the design of one group were used.

The research sample consisted of (30) students from the fourth year of the Geography Division at the Faculty of Education in Shebin al-Kom, Menoufia Governorate.

Each of the satellite Images processing skills test, the space visualization skills performance note card, and the geographic curiosity scale, were previously applied to a group Research and teaching using the proposed GIS program, and then apply remote research tools to the research group.

The research findings and results showed that: There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of students in the pre and post applications in each of the satellite Images processing skills test, the space visual processing skills performance observation card, and the geographic curiosity scale, in favor of the post application.

This indicates that the proposed GIS program contributed to the development of skills Processing satellite Images and geographic curiosity among students of the Faculty of Education.
