Abstract EN

The present study examines the types and functions of collocations in two of the former British Prime Minister Theresa May's political speeches: the Brexit and the Resignation speeches.

The discussion is built upon Tanskanen's (2006) model of analysis.

The main aim of this study is to identify (collocations) and to investigate their functions in the Prime Minister's two political speeches.

This investigation discloses the hidden messages behind using collocations in May's two political speeches.
