Abstract EN

This research provides a general summary of the economic relations between Iran and Bahrain for the period between 1989 and 2005, where Iran has witnessed important changes including the end of the Iraqi-Iranian war and the normalization of its relations (even imperfectly) with the Arab Gulf States.

The studied period has witnessed a transformation in Iran's policy towards the Arab Gulf States in general and Bahrain in particular.

The research highlighted the pros and cons of the economic relations between the two countries and the influences affecting these relations until 2005, which coincided with two major figures who took power in Iran, namely President Hashimi Rafsanjani and Mohammed Khatami
