Abstract EN

This study attempts to uncover one of the aspects of the paradox style, which is intricately complex.

This new aspect is named by the researcher as (paradox based on the violation of custom) because paradox has many facets and multiple patterns as well as definitions.

The kind of paradox we are dealing with was very common in ancient Arabic poetry, but the researcher did not find any study that systematically studied it or linked the structure of logical analogy to paradox.

This research is an analytical study of the idea of paradox based on Aristotle’s concept of logical analogy.

Many paradoxes included in the ancient Arabic poetry have a logical structure that can be easily elucidated, consisting of a first introduction, a second introduction and then a result.

This study is based on the exploration of a new type of paradox in Arabic literature called (paradox based on the violation of custom) and tried to situate it within the context of models of Arabic poetry.
