Abstract EN

This study examined the phenomenon of the semantics of conjunction waw (and).

The purpose was to explore the semantic effects of this conjunction, particularly in unfamiliar Arabic constructions.

The results showed that the omission of conjunction waw occurs in specific linguistic formulations due to semantic purposes, including: reasoning, explaining, modifying, and generalizing.

This phenomenon was found in Sunnah and literature.

The most apparent meanings of the omission of conjunction waw are urging someone to act in a specific way, maintaining attitude, expressing emotion, and describing.

I found that the omission of this conjunction is contrary to its insertion.
