Abstract EN

This study deals with the features of the civilizational role of the economic and cultural activities of the island of Qais in the Arabian Gulf.

It starts with its name and the importance of its location then highlights the achievements made during the study period.

The study also examines the way the successive rulers of the island turned it into a very important station, which increased its economic and political potentials which extended to the different lands that were geographically far away from them.

This research equally draws on the cultural life the island witnessed and the scientists who emerged from it, whether among its inhabitants or among those who passed through it.
