Abstract EN

The current study aimed to evaluate the developed Arabic language curricula at the primary stage in light of the twenty-first century skills.

A list of the twenty-first century skills was prepared, and the content analysis method was used to explore them in the developed Arabic language curricula at the primary stage, using an analysis tool prepared for this purpose.

the analysis sample was represented in the two Arabic language textbooks developed for the second grade of the primary school in the first and second semesters, in addition to the Arabic language book developed for the third grade of the primary school in the first semester.

The categories of analysis were represented in the list of the twenty-first century skills, and the (topic) analysis unit for analysis, and (iterations) a method of counting and recording were chosen.

The study found that the level of inclusion of the twenty-first century skills in the developed Arabic language curricula at the primary stage is less than (70% ) which is the acceptable level specified in this study, and that second grade curriculum (Second Semester) is the developed Arabic language curriculum that shows the higher level of inclusion of these skills (42.88% ), followed by the curriculum of the third-grade (first semester) (33.63% ), then the curriculum of the second grade (first semester) (24.25% ).

This necessitated presenting some proposals to include the twenty-first century skills in the developed Arabic language curricula at the primary stage.

The study concluded by presenting a number of recommendations and suggestions.
