Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the knowledge level and Attitudes of wheat farmers on the sprinklers irrigation about Zero- tillage technology in Baiji district in general.

As well as finding the correlation between the knowledge level of farmers and a number of variables, in addition to identifying the obstacles that hinder the identification of the knowledge level of the respondents on the conservation agriculture technique.

Depending on the results of the research, we propose an agricultural extension program to define, spread and adopt the conservation agriculture technique.

Baiji district was chosen to conduct the current research as it is an important area for growing wheat.

The search included all wheat farmers on sprinklers for the conservation technology in Baiji district, who numbered (668) farmers at the time of the research.

After excluding the exploratory sample, a simple random sample of (20) % was taken, thus the number of respondents reached (66).

The research data were collected by a personal interview questionnaire consisting of two parts.

The first part of it included personal data related to the respondents, while the second part included (20) test questions to measure farmers' knowledge of the technology, as well as determining the direction of the respondents towards technology with a five-point scale prepared for this purpose, and then the obstacles were identified.

The apparent validity and validity of the content were investigated, and the stability was calculated by the half-segmentation method.

.

After classifying the data, a number of statistical methods were used.

The results showed that most of the respondents had a clear lack of knowledge about the technology, and that the general Attitudes of the respondents was negative.

Some correlational relationships were also found, then the obstacles were identified according to their frequency and proportions.

In light of the results, an indicative work program was proposed for the dissemination and adoption of the technology, a number of conclusions were reached and some recommendations proposed.
