Abstract EN

A field study was conducted at the field (Grdarasha) of college of Agricultural engineering sciences- Erbil to investigate the physiological and yield responses of two genotypes of chickpea to hand weeding and two post emergence herbicides where Pantera (Quizalofop-p-ethyl) and lentagran (Pyridate (ISO); O-(6-chloro-3-phenylpyridazin-4-yl) herbicides, chickpea free weeds plots and with weed chickpeas plots treated as controls.

Results indicated that Philip genotype was better than Cham in vegetative and yield parameters where data of plant height (62.54 cm), primary branches (2.25 cm) seed yield (1501.56 kg/ ha) and biological yield (3811.16 kg/ ha), Cham seeds were chemical analysis data higher than Philip for phosphorous (0.04 g), and potassium (0.85 g), whereas, nitrogen and protein content for Philip was higher than Cham.

As well as, weed control treatments is significantly affected on vegetative, yield and chemical analysis of chickpea where the Lentagran herbicide recorded highest seed yield was (1346.26 kg/ ha).

As well as, genotype and herbicide treatments significantly affected on the chlorophyll content of chickpea.
