this research highlights the issue of modernity in contemporary Persian and Arabic poetry.

The researcher chose two poets: Iranian Forough Farrokhzad and Iraqi Nazik Al-Malaika to be the subject of this study.

The two poets are pioneers of modernity in poetry of their countries and have embodied modernist themes in their poetry that reflecting new issues consistent with the spirit of the times that are entering the world of poetry and the other departments of literature.

The researcher chose samples of poems for these poets that include modernist themes.

Through these poems, the two poets dealt with various individual and societal issues and other internal and external humanitarian issues.

The researcher translated the poet Forough Farrokhzad's poems into Arabic.
