Abstract EN

The phenomenon of social classification in the society, which based on some cultural, economic and social factors, considered as the important anthropological issues, especially in simple societies such as the Kurdish society.

The main question of this research is the extent of the social mobility that occurred in the Kurdish society during the historical period between 1992 and 2017, based on certain indicators such as education, income, occupation, ownership, sense of self, lifestyle …etc .

The sample consisted of (110) university teachers, As follows (32) in the Faculty of Arts, (25) in the Faculty of Education, (8) in the Language College, (17) in the Faculty of Pharmacy, (14) in Dentistry and (12) in general medicine, through the distribution of a form consisting of (22) question.

the study found that Social mobility upward occurred in the Kurdish community which depended on the scientific certificates.
